Frequently Asked Questions
General
“ETP Watches” is a company (about us) which started in Copenhagen, Denmark with clients and partners around Europe. We mainly trade brand new authentic Swiss luxury watches but also rare auction-worthy vintage blue chip models. Our clients include private collectors, private investors, and Family Offices.
By simply sending us the reference number of the desired watch per email info@etpwatches.dk
Contacting us per phone +45 53 39 01 55 or by filling out the Request Form. Once we get your enquiry, you will receive a quote which is valid for 7 days.
Delivery date depends on the availability. If the watch you requested is available in stock you will receive it within 2 to 3 business days, if not we will notify you with the precise delivery date.
At ETP Watches, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal according to the law. Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to items picked up, sourced or delivered personally. The right of withdrawal starts from the day you receive your item by mail. The right of withdrawal can only be exercised if the following conditions are met: The item is in the same condition and quantity as you received it, and the item has not been used in a way that significantly decreases its resale value.
Payment
The easiest and more transparent for us is a bank wire transfer into our company account with our bank in Copenhagen, Denmark. We can receive major currencies, DKK, EUR, CHF, USD, SGD, HKD.
It's also possible to pay through our Webshop, if the watch is in stock, with major credit cards like American Express, Visa or Mastercard. But there will be a transaction fee of 2-3%.
At the moment, we do not have the possibility to accept cash payments, nor crypto payments, due to our bank being 100% online. We will work on this in the future.
Warranty
We guarantee 100% of the authenticity of the watches sold from our company.
All our watches come with an international manufacturer’s warranty (unless other is agreed) which is dated and stamped by an authorised dealer or distributor (we aren’t affiliated to Richemont group’s brands). The warranty is valid worldwide within the 2 years of purchase thus you can bring it to any recommended service center; a list is at our disposal or on the respective brand’s website. The warranty does not cover damages such as scratches, crystals, glass, leather or rubber straps, damage due to wear and tear, damage resulting from wear under conditions exceeding the manufacturer’s (water) resistance limitations and damage due to physical and/or accidental cause. We do not recommend buying a new watch without warranty.
Shipping
We use Fedex, DHL, or Ferrari Group for valuables. Although in some countries customs or logistics are not efficient at all, we then recommend either to send one of our staff with the goods (depending on the watch price) or a pick-up in Denmark. Obviously, we reserve the right to refuse shipment or cancel orders for shipments where we can’t guarantee a safe delivery.
All of our shipping is with full insurance to the value of the goods. If we don’t ship we will meet face to face in the mutually agreed place, USA, Europe, Africa, Middle East or Asia Pacific.
That would be the best option for us, we emphasize to meet our customers at least one time. We welcome you to our showroom, in the center of Copenhagen.
Taxes
All watches are sold as used under the VAT margin scheme, according to Chapter 17 of the VAT Act. The buyer cannot deduct VAT, unless other is stated.
We typically buy and sell within the European Union, but if you're based outside of the European Union it's possible for us to source your watch inside of your country, and therefore without any import duties and fees (e.g. some of our clients are based in Switzerland, with watches bought, within the Swiss import laws). If you are based in a freeport, or want the watch shipped to a freeport, you are responsible for any import duties later on.
Investment
At ETP Watches, we advise our clients of private investors and family offices, on investment in rare vintage and modern watches, with a unique opportunity to diversify their portfolios through strategic exposure to rare and collectible timepieces. As a specialized alternative asset class, fine watches have demonstrated low correlation to traditional financial markets, offering both stability and attractive long-term appreciation.
Our investment strategy is rooted in comprehensive market analysis and data-driven insights, allowing us to navigate the evolving landscape of luxury watches with precision. By leveraging historical performance metrics, liquidity trends, and collector demand, we identify and acquire timepieces with strong appreciation potential.
At the moment we're collaborating with family offices and their clients to locate investment opportunities in the landscape of fine timepieces. If you're a private investor seeking to learn more, check out our syndicate investment setup.
